What do we do?

Advocacy

Real change happens when community voices are heard. Advocacy involves:

  • researching climate policies and legislation

  • connecting with local legislators

  • partnering with nonprofits

By driving change at the regional, state, and national levels, raising awareness, and mobilizing action, we aim to influence policy, shift cultural norms, and create a more sustainable future from the ground up.

Composting

Composting is our hands-on solution to food waste and methane emissions. Our composting initiative involves:

  • partnering with local businesses/cafes

  • collecting organic waste (coffee grounds) and transporting them to composting facilities

  • reaching out to local farmers or community gardens who need compost

By transforming waste into nutrient-rich compost that supports sustainable agriculture, we reduce greenhouse gas emissions, support local ecosystems, and model a circular, climate-conscious approach to waste.

Education

Education is the key to long-term environmental change, key to teaching students and adults about food waste, composting, sustainable living, and climate change. It involves:

  • leading in-person or virtual workshops

  • partnering with after-school programs, schools, and community centers

  • planning and organizing lessons and presentations

By making climate education accessible, engaging, and hands-on, we hope to spark curiosity, inspire behavior change, and empower the next generation of climate leaders.
