What do we do?
Advocacy
Real change happens when community voices are heard. Advocacy involves:
researching climate policies and legislation
connecting with local legislators
partnering with nonprofits
By driving change at the regional, state, and national levels, raising awareness, and mobilizing action, we aim to influence policy, shift cultural norms, and create a more sustainable future from the ground up.
Composting
Composting is our hands-on solution to food waste and methane emissions. Our composting initiative involves:
partnering with local businesses/cafes
collecting organic waste (coffee grounds) and transporting them to composting facilities
reaching out to local farmers or community gardens who need compost
By transforming waste into nutrient-rich compost that supports sustainable agriculture, we reduce greenhouse gas emissions, support local ecosystems, and model a circular, climate-conscious approach to waste.
Education
Education is the key to long-term environmental change, key to teaching students and adults about food waste, composting, sustainable living, and climate change. It involves:
leading in-person or virtual workshops
partnering with after-school programs, schools, and community centers
planning and organizing lessons and presentations
By making climate education accessible, engaging, and hands-on, we hope to spark curiosity, inspire behavior change, and empower the next generation of climate leaders.
